Privacy policy

In short

The file you import (your Instagram, Threads or TikTok export) is read only by your browser. It is never sent to our servers, and we cannot see your followers, messages or logins. A few optional features send limited data, only when you use them: they are listed below.

1. Who is responsible

FollowersChecker is published by Ahmed Ben Haj Yahia, an individual based in Tunisia. Contact: contact@followerschecker.com or the contact page.

2. Your data export

The analysis runs in JavaScript, on your device. The data read from your file stays in the memory of the browser tab and disappears when you close it. No copy is transmitted to us or kept by us.

3. What is saved in your browser

For convenience, the site saves a few items in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device:

Your messages, logins and advertising data are never saved. You can erase everything with “Erase data saved in this browser” at the bottom of the home page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

4. Optional features that send data

5. Advertising and cookies

The site is free and funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or identifiers to show ads, measure them and, only with your consent, personalize them.

Details are in our cookie policy.

6. Technical services

To display the site, your browser contacts our host (Netlify), which may keep technical connection logs, and Google Fonts for the typeface. The libraries that read ZIP files and create the PDF are served directly by our site.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, erase and object to the processing of your data. Since we keep almost nothing about you on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly in your browser (section 3). For any question, write to us via the contact page. The site is published from Tunisia and also follows Tunisian Organic Law No. 2004-63 of 27 July 2004 on personal data protection. You can complain to the INPDP (inpdp.tn, Tunisia) or to your own data protection authority.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
